Chelsea Pelletier

Chelsea completed an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Acadia Univeristy and a MSc and PhD in Kinesiology at McMaster Univeristy focusing on exercise prescription for individuals with spinal cord injury. Since moving to northern BC, she has focused her research on understanding and promoting physical activity for rural, remote, and northern BC communities. She is grateful to the community partners and advocates who have been doing this work for years and made this research project and PAANBC possible.

Director

Chelsea grew up in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia on the ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people, before moving to Hamilton, Ontario for high school. Since 2015, Chelsea has called Prince George home, and am grateful to live as an invited guest on the traditional terriotory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation.

Chelsea’s favourite way to move is walking her dogs by the river.
